We loved sharing our writing with a buddy. Our buddy told us two things they liked about our writing eg. told lots of details / information, sounded out really hard words, good picture that matches the story etc. We liked hearing good things about our efforts.

Napier Boys' High School Music Visit

On Wednesday in the Hall High School boys came to our school. They were singing with a guitar and a violin and a piano and a trumpet and some drums and electric guitar. I liked the singing. It was loud I blocked my ears. It was fun.

On Wednesday the Napier Boys came to Clive School. They played the guitar and the drums. It was loud I loved it. I loved the band.

At Clive School there was visitors come to school. It was Napier Boys High School. There was an electric guitar.  We loved them sing. My favourite part was the band. I loved the guitars and the electric guitars. My brother was not there. I love the music.

Napier Boys High School they were rocking and rolling at my school. I love them. They played a violin and then they played an electric guitar and then there was a choir. I think there was 8 boys singing. I love the choir and then the boys were finished. Miss Northe chose some teachers to choose some children to go to their classrooms and to sit on their mat then all the classrooms were gone. Our teacher said we could stay to watch Tom singing and Beau play the the guitar and then we went back to our class. I had a great time. I loved it so much. Now we are writing. I am writing about the Show. I am going to tell my Mum and my Dad.

Trying out "Computational Thinking"

Room One children got to try out their understanding of using algorithms ( step by step instructions ) to navigate their 'robot' through a grid to save an animal.
Wow they were amazing working on this new topic and so involved as each person had a job. One was the Programmer, one the Tester and one the 'Bot' then they all changed so everyone got a turn at each task.
